planned beach day
After my recent failed attempt in being productive with my hobbies at the beach, I decided to go back and try again. I finally gave up on the book that I brought last time and returned it to the library. Before that, it was sitting on our coffee table for almost 3 months where I only picked it up once to read the first and second chapters. This time, I brought one of my cross stitch projects instead. I’ve been working on it since this past December but I have been very inconsistent so I haven't made much progress. I thought it would be perfect to bring this slow paced hobby to relax at the beach with.
I sat on the big rocks along the shore with a good view of the water and sky. For two hours, I watched the kayaks, boats, birds, and planes while I stitched my crosses. However, I was also overstimulated by the sounds coming from all directions so I had to wear my earbuds and listen to music. I had the volume high enough so that most of the background noise would be drowned out but low enough so that I could still faintly hear the waves crashing against the rocks. Overall, I had a pleasant day and I look forward to when I can plan to do the same thing again!
